Ellie's movie

This movie is written, directed, and narrated by Ellie. Staring Ellie, our dogs, myself, and random household objects. The narration is my favorite part. This movie has kind of a "Blair Witch" feel to the filming. This video not recommended for people with motion sickness.

To entertain Ellie I turned on the camcorder and she walked around the house and showed me what it's like to be in her shoes. I found this kind of funny. It shows that Ellie already has her mom's ability to be distracted easily. But she was entertained and that's all I cared about.

Ellie and JD

Ellie looking at ducks

Swinging

Every morning Ellie has to see who is showering. The bathroom now has an open door policy. The door is always open whenever Ellie wants to come in.

Doing what she does best...playing in water. I don't think Roxy ever gets to finish her water before Ellie invades.

Helping Daddy do his homework. Physics is hard and requires warm milk breaks.

This is kinda long but I thought it was cute. Ellie was teaching her friend JD to tease the dogs who were locked on the otherside of the door.

Baby Labor Laws

I hope there aren't such a thing as baby labor laws. In my defense, she had fun! If anyone asks, my story is that it was a "train" ride. Enjoy the pictures.

Ellie is sick

Ellie hasn't been sleeping very well for a long time now. A couple nights age she only slept about 3 hours so yesterday I took her to the doctor to find out if there is anything I can do. She has tummy aches quite often so we discussed that and her poor red eye that is clogged.

The positive side is Ellie now weighs 15 pounds so she's gaining weight. They told me her eye can be fixed whenever I want if I want to call an ENT or ophthomologist. But they would have to put her under general anesthesia to do it so most doctors wait until 1 year. She has an ear infection but didn't act like her ear bugged her at all. She said a lot of the time ear and eye infections occur on the same side so maybe the antibiotic will help clear up her eye too.

As for her tummy we are trying a lactose free diet for awhile to see if it makes a difference. Last night was a better night as far as sleep but Ellie doesn't feel well so she's on Tylenol and fevers make her want to just sleep anyway. So maybe in a week we'll be able to tell if the change is making her feel better.

On top of a bad tummy and sore ear she has her two top teeth coming in. The doctor said her gums are pretty swollen. No wonder my poor baby doesn't want to sleep. At least when she's awake she's happy.

I have some cute pics I'll have to put on some time but they are sitting in my camera and Ellie is on my lap napping.

6 months

Ellie had her 6 month check up yesterday.

She is now 13 lbs 6 ounces (16th percentile)
26.5 inches long (77th percentile)
17.5 head circumference (93rd percentile) - She has her dad's head.

She had another round of vaccines and a flu shot. Overall she is doing great! Her first tooth broke thru on Fridaybut it's still not out all the way.

The doctor commented on how good her hand-eye coordination is. He was trying to listen to her heart and she pulled the stethoscope off her chest.

She likes to crawl backwards. Things must be better upside down.

Thought this was a cute "memory" picture. I hope one day she wears my size so I can trade shoes.

Boy how time flies! I can't believe my baby is already 6 months old. She just gets cuter and more fun every day.
